Recovering a forgotten password ...

The system we use to manage our mailing list gives each subscriber a password. It is really easy to forget this password or lose it. To get a reminder of what your password is, just follow these steps.

Go to this page: http://emidfamilies.org/list
Down toward the bottom is a section titled "families Subscribers" with an item unhelpfully labeled "unsubscribe from families...". Put your email address here and click the awfully named "unsubscribe or edit options" button. It will not unsubscribe you yet, don't worry.
Instead you will come to a page where you can change many options about your subscription. One option is to get a password reminder. Just click on "Email My Password To Me". You should get a reminder of your password in email soon after clicking that button.

Digest ...

If getting more than one message a day from this list is not your idea of fun, then you might want to switch your account to "digest" the messages. This means that all the messages for any given day will be assembled into a digest and mailed to you as one long message.

To switch to digest form, just follow steps (1) and (2) from "Recovering a forgotten password" above. Then, for step (3) find the option "Set Digest Mode" and switch it to "On." You will probably want to leave the digests as plain text, but if the other choices make sense to you, feel free to change them. Then, for step (4) make sure to click "Submit My Changes" at the bottom of the page.

Unsubscribing ...

Go to http://emidfamilies.org/list and follow the "unsubscribing" instructions there.
